José and Leopoldina were married.  They had five sons and six daughters, named Ervino, Roque, Paulo, Ottomar, Otávio, Eli, Loria, Ludmila, Lucila, Edi and Maria.

Leopoldina was born on June 17th, 1906.  She died at the age of 35 on January 9th, 1942.
